賞や名誉、または判決として正式に与えられたもの。業績や判断の結果として受け取られることがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

多くは受動態（例:'was awarded'）で使う。'賞'や'契約'など公式なものと組み合わせる。気軽な贈り物には使わない。受賞・公式な決定の意味を持つ。
