天使とは、多くの宗教で神に仕えたり、人間を守ったり導いたりすると信じられている霊的存在です。とても親切で無邪気な人を「天使」と呼ぶこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'天使'は宗教的な物語や芸術作品、祈りなどで使われることが多いですが、日常会話ではとても親切な人にも使います（例:「あなたは天使です」）。「guardian angels」「fallen angels」のような表現があります。
