'put down roots' মানে কোন নতুন জায়গায় স্থায়ীভাবে থাকা—ক্লাব, পরিবার বা প্রতিষ্ঠানের ক্ষেত্রেও ব্যবহারযোগ্য। এতে কখনো গাছ লাগানোর কথা বোঝায় না।
