Small, soft fibers that come off fabric, especially found on clothes, in dryers, or on surfaces after washing.
Usage & Nuances
Commonly used for small bits of fiber found on clothes, especially dark fabrics. 'Lint roller' is a tool to remove it. Not used for larger pieces of fabric. Can also refer to medical gauze, but this is less common.
