কোনো সমস্যা বা মতবিরোধকে কম গুরুতর করে দেখানো বা তা সহজে সমাধান করার চেষ্টা করা, সাধারণত কথা বা সদয় আচরণের মাধ্যমে।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
অফিস, বন্ধুদের মধ্যে বা পারিবারিক সমস্যায় 'ঠান্ডা করা' বা 'সামলানো' ব্যবহার করা যায়। শুধু 'smooth' বললে এই অর্থ বোঝায় না।
