Ser quien decide cuán rápido debe ocurrir algo, especialmente en una carrera, actividad o negocio. Se usa en sentido literal para la velocidad y en sentido figurado para el progreso o liderazgo.

'Set the pace' se usa mucho en deportes para el que lidera la velocidad, pero también en negocios y equipos para quien marca el estándar. No confundir con 'keep pace' (mantener el ritmo) o 'pace yourself' (controlar tu propio ritmo).
