"head for" in Korean

향하다향해 가다

Definition

어떤 장소나 목적지를 향해 이동하다. 주로 어디론가 출발할 때 쓰인다.

일상적인 대화에서 자주 사용한다. 장소나 방향과 함께 쓰며 ('head for home' 뜻은 집에 가다). 신체의 '머리'나 'head up'과는 다르다.

We should head for the nearest hotel before it gets dark.

어두워지기 전에 가장 가까운 호텔로 **향하는 게** 좋겠어.

The children head for the playground after school.

아이들은 학교가 끝나면 운동장으로 **향한다**.

Let's head for the exit now.

이제 **출구로 향하자**.
