Kod kelimesi, yalnızca belirli kişilerin anlayacağı şekilde gizli bir anlam iletmek için kullanılan özel bir kelime veya ifadedir.

Güvenlik, gizli faaliyetler ya da yakınlar arasında sinyal amacıyla kullanılabilir. 'Parola' (şifre) ile aynı değildir. Kullanımlar: 'kod kelimesi kullanmak', 'kod kelimesi ...’dir'.
