'the aftereffects of ...' kalıbıyla çoğunlukla çoğul olarak geçer. Hastalık, travma gibi olaylardan sonraki olumsuz sonuçlarda sık kullanılır. Fiziksel ya da duygusal etkiler için kullanılabilir.
