バージョンとは、同じものの異なる形、変更や更新が加えられた形式、または人による異なる説明を指します。ソフトウェアや本、映画、出来事の説明などに使われます。

IT分野で“the latest version”や“an older version”のように使われます。映画や本、話の別の形にも使います。“edition”（版）と混同しないように注意しましょう。
