寒さや恐怖、興奮で体や体の一部が軽く震えること。自分の意思で止められない軽い揺れ。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

"Tremble"は"shake"よりフォーマルで、恐れや興奮など感情とよく結びつく。よくある表現は"tremble with fear/cold/excitement"。激しい動きでなく、穏やかな震えを表す。"vibrate"（機械的）、"shiver"（寒さ）とは混同しないように。
