テーマとは、本や映画、スピーチなどで伝えたい中心的な考えやメッセージのことです。また、パーティーやウェブサイトの雰囲気やデザインを指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'main theme'（メインテーマ）、'central theme'（中心テーマ）、'the theme of the book'（本のテーマ）などでよく使われます。イベントやデザインでは「ビーチテーマ」や「テーマパーティー」、スマホなどでは「ダークテーマ」なども意味します。「topic」は単なる「話題」で、テーマとは異なります。
