확실한 증거 없이 어떤 것이 사실이나 가능하다고 생각하거나, 상황이나 조건을 가정하는 것.

Usage Notes (Korean)

확실하지 않은 의견을 말할 때나 가정법 상황을 열 때 자주 씀. 'suppose we...'로 제안할 수 있음. 'assume'은 더 확신이 클 때 사용.
