"Stitching" मुख्यतः सिलाई, कढ़ाई या कपड़ों को जोड़ने वाली धागे की रेखाओं के लिए प्रयोग होता है। यह क्रिया और परिणाम दोनों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। टेलरिंग, सोफा कवर, चमड़े के काम में आम है। मेडिकल "stitches" (टांके) से अलग है। आम वाक्यांश: "neat stitching", "double stitching"।
