Definition

벌이나 곤충이 침으로 갑자기 아프게 하다. 피부가 따갑거나, 말로 인해 마음이 아플 때도 쓴다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

‘벌이 쏘다’, ‘눈이 따갑다’, ‘말이 마음을 아프게 하다’와 같이 여러 상황에 쓴다. ‘bite(물다)’와 혼동하지 않기.
