ينظر إلى شخص أو شيء لفترة طويلة دون أن يحرك عينيه. غالبًا ما يُستخدم عندما تكون النظرة قوية، فضولية أو حتى وقحة.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالبًا يُستخدم للنظر القوي أو المزعج. شائع مع 'at' (مثلاً 'stares at someone'). يمكن أن يكون إيجابيًا أو سلبيًا أو فضوليًا. لا تخلطه مع 'glance' (نظرة سريعة) أو 'gaze' (نظرة لطيفة أو محايدة).
