किसी बड़े वस्तु से टूटा हुआ पतला, नुकीला टुकड़ा, आमतौर पर लकड़ी, कांच या धातु का। यह किसी बड़े समूह से अलग हुए छोटे हिस्से को भी दर्शा सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Splinter' आमतौर पर हाथ-पैर में चुभने वाली लकड़ी या कांच के नुकीले टुकड़े के लिए है। राजनीती या समूहों में 'splinter group' छोटे अलग हुए हिस्से को कहते हैं। इसे 'split' (बाँटना) से न मिलाएँ।
