তীব্র কিছু দ্বারা কাটা হয়েছে বা কোনো কিছু খুব বেশি পরিমাণে কমানো হয়েছে, এমন অবস্থাকে বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Prices were slashed', 'budget was slashed' বলতে বড়ো ধরনের ছাড় বা কমানো বুঝায়; 'arm was slashed' এলে গুরুতর কাটার দিক বোঝায়। ছোট বা হালকা কেটে যাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার হয় না।
