何かが行われる場所や背景、状況のこと。また、機械やデバイスの動作を調整するための項目も指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

物語や映画・ゲームでは『舞台』と表現します。機械やデバイスの場合は『設定』を複数形で使うことが多いです（例：スマホの設定）。『シーン』は一場面なので区別しましょう。
