El ritmo es un patrón regular de sonidos, movimientos o acontecimientos. Se usa mucho en la música y el baile, pero también en patrones naturales como el habla, la respiración o la vida diaria.

Se usa sobre todo con la música: 'feel the rhythm', 'a fast/slow rhythm'. También aparece en expresiones más amplias como 'sleep rhythm', 'daily rhythm' y 'the rhythm of speech'. No lo confundas con 'beat': 'beat' es una unidad del compás, mientras que 'rhythm' es el patrón completo.
