自分が何かをしたい時でも、それをしないようにすること。音楽では、曲の中で繰り返される部分のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'refrain'はフォーマルな場面や掲示で使われることが多いです。「restrain」と（物理的に止める、それにたいして自分で控える）違います。音楽では「サビ」や繰り返される部分を指します。
