「押す」の過去形で、何かを力で動かす、ボタンなどを押す、または誰かに強く何かをさせることを意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

物理的な動作だけでなく、誰かを強く促した場合にも使います。'push the door' や 'push someone to do something' のように使います。'pushed it' は限界を試した意味も。
