Gelecekte olma ihtimali yüksek veya beklenen kişi ya da şey için kullanılır; örneğin potansiyel müşteri veya gerçekleşmesi muhtemel bir olay gibi.

Genellikle resmi ve isimlerden önce kullanılır ('prospective student' gibi). İş, müşteri, alıcı gibi konularda tercih edilir. Kesinleşmemiş, sadece mümkün olan durumlar için kullanılır.
