配管工は、建物の水道管や蛇口、トイレなどの水回り設備を取り付けたり修理したりする仕事をする人です。

「配管工」は水道関係の工事をする人のみを指し、電気やガスの工事人には使いません。主に住宅や小規模な建物でよく使われます。
