「頂上」は山や丘の尖った一番高い部分や、物事が最も高まった状態を指します。

自然の山だけでなく、「成功の頂点」など比喩的にも使います。複数形で複数の高い地点を示します。'summit'は会議や頂上限定なのに対し、「peak」は幅広く使います。
