野球などのスポーツで「アウト」とは、プレイヤーやチームが攻撃権を失うプレイを指します。まれに、困難な状況から抜け出す方法という意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「アウト」は主にスポーツ（特に野球）で複数形として使われます。困難からの脱出という意味はほとんど日常では使われません。
