Definition

কিছু নেতিবাচক হলে, সেটি খারাপ, ক্ষতিকর বা আশাহীন হয়। এটি না বলতে, অনুপস্থিতি প্রকাশ করতে বা অংক ও বিজ্ঞানে শূন্যের নিচে বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘negative attitude’, ‘negative effect’, ‘negative review’, ‘negative number’, ‘negative test’ শব্দগুলিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ‘Negative’ শব্দটি ‘bad’ এর চেয়ে বেশি বিশ্লেষণধর্মী ও নিরপেক্ষ শোনায়। ‘Negative test’ মানে অনেক সময় কোনো অসুস্থতা পাওয়া যায়নি।
