何かをする必要があるとき、義務や強いすすめを表す言葉。また、何かが確実であると推論できる場合にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'must'は強い義務や必要性を表します。'must not'は厳しい禁止を示します。'have to'は外部からの義務、'must'はより主観的な強制です。過去形の場合は'must'の代わりに'had to'を使います。
