物を押しつぶして柔らかく滑らかな状態にすること。主にジャガイモや果物など食べ物に使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に料理、特に“マッシュポテト”などの表現で使われます。音楽やデータを混ぜる時も“マッシュする”や“マッシュアップ”の形で使われることがあります。“mesh”（網）とは異なります。
