갑자기 불안정하게 앞으로 또는 옆으로 확 움직이는 것. 예기치 않은 급격한 변화도 의미할 수 있다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 문학적/공식적 상황에서 사용된다. 물리적 움직임(차, 사람), 혹은 갑작스러운 변화(계획, 감정)에 쓴다. 'run a business'와 같이 관용적 표현이 있다. 'lurk'와 혼동하지 않도록 주의.
