लेफ्टिनेंट्स सेना या पुलिस में मँझले या निम्न स्तर के अधिकारी होते हैं, कप्तान से एक रैंक नीचे। यह शब्द उन लोगों के लिए भी प्रयोग हो सकता है जो किसी नेता की मदद करते हैं।
