빌려주다

Definition

남에게 물건이나 돈을 잠시 주고 나중에 돌려받기를 기대하는 것.

‘lend’는 빌려주는 쪽, ‘borrow’는 빌리는 쪽에 씁니다. ‘lend someone something’, ‘lend something to someone’ 패턴과 ‘lend a hand’(도와주다) 같이 비유적 표현에도 많이 사용됩니다.

Can you lend me your pen?

너 나한테 펜 **빌려줄 수 있어**?

She lent her book to her friend.

그녀는 친구에게 책을 **빌려줬다**.
