"lend" in Portuguese (PT)
Definition
Dar algo a alguém por algum tempo, esperando que devolva depois. Também pode significar dar dinheiro com a expectativa de ser reembolsado.

Usa-se 'lend' para quem dá e 'borrow' para quem recebe: 'Can you lend me your pen?' / 'Can I borrow your pen?'. As estruturas mais comuns são 'lend someone something' e 'lend something to someone'. Também surge em sentido figurado em expressões como 'lend a hand' e 'lend support'.
