ある物事や芸術作品などの意味や内容を、どう理解し説明するかを指します。また、演奏者や俳優が自分なりの表現をすることも含みます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
意味は一つではなく、人によって解釈は異なります。'open to interpretation'（解釈の余地がある）、'literal interpretation'（文字通りの解釈）などのフレーズで使われます。'translation'（翻訳）とは異なるので注意してください。
