求められていないのに他人のことに関わり、しばしば迷惑や問題を引き起こす人や行動。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

基本的に否定的な意味で使われます。たとえば「interfering mother-in-law」や「stop interfering」のように、親しみというより迷惑に感じられる行動に用いられます。頼まれていない助言や行動にも使われます。
