누군가에게 공식적이거나 명확하게 정보나 사실, 소식을 전달하는 것. 중요한 내용을 알릴 때 자주 씁니다.

'inform'은 'tell'보다 더 격식 있습니다. 'inform someone about something' 또는 'inform someone that...' 형식이 자주 사용됩니다. 공지, 이메일, 안내문 등에서 흔하게 나옵니다.

Please inform the teacher if you are sick.

아프면 선생님께 꼭 **알리세요**.

We will inform you about the date tomorrow.

날짜는 내일 **알려드리겠습니다**.

The doctor informed me that the test was normal.

의사가 검사 결과가 정상이라고 **알려줬어요**.
