何かについて知識や情報がないこと、または教育が足りていない状態を指します。場合によっては他人の無礼な態度についても使われます。

「無知」は「知らない」より強い否定的な意味があります。人の態度や発言が失礼、狭量な時にも使われます。例：「～について無知だ」「無知な発言」。
