একটি গোপন জায়গা, যেখানে কেউ বিপদ বা পুলিশের হাত থেকে রক্ষার জন্য লুকিয়ে থাকে।

অপরাধী, দস্যু বা শিশুরা খেলাধুলার সময় এই শব্দটি বেশি ব্যবহার করে। দৈনন্দিন সাধারণ লুকানোর স্থানের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় না। 'secret hideout', 'discover a hideout' কথাগুলো প্রায়ই শোনা যায়।
