هو الشعور بالامتنان لأن شخصًا ما ساعدك أو أعطاك شيئًا أو كان لطيفًا معك. ويعبّر عن تقدير صادق من القلب.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالبًا يأتي مع 'for' أو 'to' مثل: 'grateful for your help' و'grateful to my teacher'. وهو أدفأ وأكثر شخصية من 'thankful'. ويشيع أيضًا في الأسلوب الرسمي المهذب: 'I’d be grateful if...' تُستخدم لطلب شيء بأدب.
