「ガロン」は主にアメリカやイギリスで使われる液体の容量の単位です。アメリカでは約3.78リットル、イギリスでは約4.55リットルです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に液体に使います（例：水、牛乳、ガソリン）。日本ではリットルが一般的なので、日常会話にはあまり出てきません。「gallons of coffee」のようにたくさんの意味でも使われます。
