正式な方法で、特定のルールや慣習に従って行うこと。よく公式・法的・儀式的な場面で使われます。

『formally』は、礼儀・儀式・公式や法律的な体裁が求められる場面（例：『formally announce』）で使います。『officially』より堅い表現で、日常会話には不向きです。
