공식적으로는 아주 사악한 존재를 뜻하지만, 일상에서는 어떤 것에 지나치게 빠진 사람에게도 씁니다(예: 'sugar fiend'). 'friend'(친구)와 혼동하지 마세요. 'fan'보다 더 강하며 부정적·재미있게 쓰일 수 있습니다.
