「なじみのある」は、以前に見たり聞いたり経験したことがあるため、よく知っていることを表します。まれに家族や親しさに関する意味もあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「なじみのある」は「なじみの顔」や「聞き覚えがある歌」など、よく知っているというニュアンスがあります。「〜に詳しい」という文脈でも使われます。「家族に関する」はほとんど使われません。
