Definition

생각이나 감정을 말, 행동, 예술 등으로 나타내거나 전달하는 것. '급행 열차'처럼 빠른 것을 뜻할 때도 사용됨.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 동사로 사용. 'express an opinion'은 의견을 밝힌다는 의미. 감정·생각 전달시 'say'보다 격식 있음. 형용사로는 '급행열차', '급행배송'등에서 빠름을 나타냄. 'explain'은 설명, 'express'는 단순히 표현함.
