Definition

किसी चीज़ का वास्तविक होना या दुनिया, किसी जगह या किसी स्थिति में मौजूद होना। इसका प्रयोग यह बताने के लिए होता है कि कोई चीज़ सचमुच है, उपलब्ध है, या वास्तव में होती है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह एक neutral से formal verb है, जो casual बातचीत की तुलना में लिखित अंग्रेज़ी और अधिक सावधानी से बोले गए वाक्यों में ज़्यादा मिलता है। रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में लोग अक्सर 'there is/are', 'have' या 'be' का उपयोग करते हैं: जैसे 'Unicorns don't exist', लेकिन 'There is a problem'. सामान्य पैटर्न हैं: 'exist in nature', 'exist between A and B', 'exist only in theory'.
