Definition

重役とは、会社や組織で重要な意思決定を行う管理職の人物を指します。また、計画の実行や運営に関することを表す形容詞としても使われます。

ビジネス英語で名詞として使われることが多く、'senior executive' や 'company executives' などがあります。形容詞では 'executive decision', 'executive power' などの表現で使います。通常の従業員('employee')ではなく、意思決定に関与する役職者を指します。
