Definition

কিছু যা চিরকাল থাকে বা কখনো শেষ হয় না, ধ্রুব ও অবিরাম। কখনো কখনো বিরক্তিকরভাবে দীর্ঘ কোনো কিছুকেও বোঝাতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'চিরস্থায়ী ভালোবাসা', 'চিরস্থায়ী শান্তি' মানে খুবই ইতিবাচক; আবার 'তার চিরস্থায়ী অভিযোগ' বললে বিরক্তির ভাব থাকে। 'Everlasting flower' বলতে শুকনো ফুল বোঝানো হয়।
