Definition

سكب سائل على شيء، خصوصاً لإطفاء حريق أو لجعل الشيء مبتلاً تماماً.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تستخدم غالبًا لإطفاء الحرائق ('douse the flames') أو لغمر شيء بسائل. أكثر رسمية وكتابية من 'put out' أو 'soak'. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'dose' (جرعة الدواء).
