部屋や建物の出入口をふさぐために使う、主に木や金属で作られた開閉できる仕切りです。

「ドア」は部屋や建物の出入口で使われます。「玄関ドア」「裏口ドア」「ドアを開ける」などがよく使われます。比喩的にも「チャンスのドア」などの表現があります。「門（ゲート）」とは異なるので注意しましょう。
