Definition

কিছু জিনিস বা তথ্যের প্রকৃত বা সঠিক রূপ বিকৃত বা অস্বচ্ছ হয়ে গেলে সেটিকে বিকৃতি বলা হয়। এটি ছবি, শব্দ, বা তথ্যের ক্ষেত্রে ঘটতে পারে।

'বিকৃতি' শব্দটি সাধারণত প্রযুক্তিগত, বৈজ্ঞানিক আর গণমাধ্যমে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'audio distortion', 'distortion of facts', 'image distortion' ইত্যাদি। ভুল বা বিভ্রান্তিকর অবস্থার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, ছোট বা শুভ পরিবর্তনের জন্য নয়।
